Why do i mess around with my computer ??

// November 3rd, 2008 // OS's

AAaaaaahhhh !!!! Not again. I did it again!
Screwed up my computer once again. But this time, it was really worth it…going by how i ended up almost killing it…literally….
I TRIED TO INSTALL MAC OSX PANTHER ON MY MACHINE !!! Okay some of you may argue that it was really stupid and dumb on my part to do so, but hey guess what, i succeeded ! Steps that i followed :
1. Looked up a few forums on the net to find out if it actually works.
2. After a few positive comments and articles, I decided to go for it.
3. Got hold of a MACOSX Panther DVD image, iAtkos version by UpHuck (theyr’e the ppl who made this possible ! kudos !) Size : 2.2 Gb
4. After completing the download, i burn the image onto a dvd.
5. Boot normally from the dvd, like one normally would do while installing any windows OS. So far so good.
6. Machine boots up and i see a gray screen with a white apple in the middle. Adrenaline levels fast rising, i wait for it to go beyond. But my hopes fell apart when i didnt see any change after 1 hour of leaving my machine undisturbed.
7. Googled out my problems again. Found out that. Check it out here : http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2008
8. I put in an empty fat formatted 80 gb seagate hdd into my machine along with my other 3 hdds which i use for vista…okay maybe i made a stupid mistake by not removing the other 3 hdds before messin around to get mac os leopard, bu still never thought it would create problems.
9. So armed with solutions to me current problem, i boot up again using the dvd…and i succeed…!
Have a look :

Hehe! But guess wad….it screwed my my data on another 250 gb hdd…which had about 150 gb of tv shows, 30 gb of documentries, 30 gb of music, and other lil random stuff…All lost…
But atleast i got all my music back from my external hdd…and tv shows from a friend…all that i lost was the documentries…bt it really doesnt bother me now….
It has given me new space to test mey copy of windows 7 !
But windows se7en comes later….i had to reinstall vista ultimate back since i had a copy of my boot file on the 250 gb hdd…luckily for me my 350 gb 430 movies collection was on another hdd…that data is precious….The above screenshot is the only one i ever took of my panther os…
So finally after one week of installs n updates etc, im back where i was a month back wrt my computer…though i still have to reload some data from another 200 gb disk…but ill do it when i really need it…
As of now, i really dont wanna go through the pains of having a new machine about once a month…so i guess in future messing around, i will be more careful…
Windows 7, here i come….will write more on it after i test it….
And yeah…ive actually started liking vista over xp now…glitches sorted out…only…i still have to crack my current installation of vista…have a look…

This is what my desktop currently looks like…
