I'd suggest ATI cards any day over NVidia. NVidia's days of dominance are far behind and at his stage none of their cards can match up to their counterparts at ATI. Besides they have also been reported to have severe heating issues. And the newer 5700 and 5800 series by ATI are a tough lot to beat. I'd say go for ATI and I can assure you you'll have no problems.
